Global Industry: about consumer-centric supply chain transparency

Bremerhaven. (bm) Mondelēz recently piloted a consumer-centric supply chain transparency project in France, using blockchain technology to allow «LU» biscuit consumers to trace the journey of wheat from field to shelf. Now the company announces a similar program for the «Triscuit» brand in North America. Consumers can discover the journey of the wheat baked into some of their crackers from a coop of farmers’ fields in the thumb of Michigan to where the product is made. Both programs were created in partnership with Connecting Food, a supply chain transparency platform powered by blockchain, to provide third-party traceability advisement and technology services.
