Global Industry: JAB Holding expands caffeine empire

Hamburg. (bm) Jacobs Douwe Egberts Holdings Asia NL. B.V., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Jacobs Douwe Egberts B.V. (JDE), the world’s leading pure-play CPG coffee company and part of Luxembourg’s JAB Holding Company, has launched a takeover of Malaysia’s OldTown Berhad, one of Asia’s leading coffee manufacturers and operators of café outlets. OldTown Shareholders owning 51.4 percent of the shares have given their irrevocably undertaking to accept the offer. Other topics of the week:
