Bremerhaven. (bm) Finland’s Paulig Group has recently started constructing a new tortilla plant in Roeselare, Belgium. With this 45-million EUR investment in a new production facility, Paulig aims to strengthen its position as market leader of Tex Mex in Europe. Paulig aims to make the new plant carbon neutral from the start in line with the company’s ambitious target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations by 80 percent by 2030 from a 2018 baseline. Production in the new factory is expected to start in the spring of 2022. Other topics of the week:
