Bremerhaven. (bm) Canada’s Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI), parent company of the quick-service brands «Burger King», «Tim Hortons» und «Popeyes», reached an agreement this week under which RBI will acquire the «Firehouse Subs» quick-service restaurant group for a whopping one billion U.S. Dollar. Founded in 1994 by former firefighters in Jacksonville, Florida, the franchise counts about 1200 stores and turns over approximately 1.1 billion US Dollar per anno. Other topics of the week:
