Bremerhaven. (bm) Technically, the wars in Syria and Ukraine have strong parallels: The entire infrastructure is being destroyed. Putin’s troops make no distinction between civilian and military victims. Hospitals and maternity clinics are no longer safe places, but preferred targets. In his video address to the German parliament, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj repeatedly asked for more help. At the same time, he thanked the many Germans who have opened their hearts wide and are helping within their means. Selenskyj also thanked the companies that have understood why they have to withdraw from Russia right now: «Thank you for those who put morality above profit.» Other topics of the week:
